It is tough to keep everyone around you happy…correction, it is IMPOSSIBLE to keep everyone around you happy. Period.

There are two kinds of shitty days – one where everything and everyone is going against what you had planned leading to a dull uneventful day. The other where all you want to do is nothing but everything and everyone around you demand otherwise.

The past weeks have definitely been that of farewells, partys, stay-overs, class trips and so on… With college life nearing to an end, it almost seems like me and my friends don’t want to let it go and are clinging on to it for as long as we can. It should not be surprising to note that, the no. of group outings in the last semester itself has exceeded the total no. of outings in all 4 years of engineering. The last semester just zoomed by, with only over a week left to go for college to officially end. It feels very weird, the excitement to begin a new life (that of a working professional), sadness (college had to end), happiness (finally, no more lame surprise tests and exams), anxiety and a lot more..

It’s a good day, when you just head of for a long drive on the bike with your guy. The wind caresses your face, the scenic beauty captivates your mind, and the rush of driving a bike on the winding roads of mulshi ghat with your guy sitting behind tops it all !!
On our way back, we have 2 plates of hot pani-puri each, which completes a perfectly happy day
Such are the joys of a simple life…

This is a simple silly game, where you have to connect different movies together, based on star-cast, events and happenings to form a proper story. For instance, I watched Revolutionary road the other day, followed by Changeling . I thought, maybe Walter Collins (Changeling) ran away from his home, was abducted, escaped to grow up and lead a free life to become Jack. Now, Jack won a ticket to aboard the Titanic where he met the love of his life Rose. Now, had Jack and Rose (Titanic) not been on the sinking ship, they might have got married, had kids and become the quarrelsome couple on Revolutionary Road.
Dear reader, do feel free to write in as many connects as you can think of. I am sure this will be fun

Some Random Thoughts

• Whenever you decide to write something random, nothing pops into your mind.
• In the romantic or old English era, the women used to lock their left wrist into their partner’s right hand while being accompanied to a ballroom dance or dinner. I hope they knew, doing so would allow the partner to slightly brush his elbow against their breast… so much for being ‘conservative’.
• Why chocolate filled biscuits are called ‘bourbon’ biscuits? Too lazy to find out…
• What is with the latest obsession of ‘going green’? I mean, sure you feel bad about the environment, pollution and all (or just pretend to, so that you could fit in), but what good would it possibly do if you wear green clothes and clover leaf badges? We can all just plant a few trees, take care of it and not make a big deal out of it.
• Most of the romantic movies are rich girl meets poor handsome guy, falls head over heels in love with him, defies all social boundaries, runs into his arms and they live happily ever after. Nice, but they never show it the other way around. Apart from Cinderella ofcourse.

What better way to start the new year with an awesome film! Especially, if you are a film lover as I am. I watched Slumdog Millionaire day before, a little before its official release date, and it turned out to be really amazing. A good film, after a really long time, no wonder it got such wonderful reviews in Hollywood. A. R. Rehman proved it again, that he undeniably, is the greatest of Bollywood. The movie had beautiful picturization and background scores and a heart-warming story.
My take: totally brilliant and a must-watch!!
